			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The iPad dummy is complete! This means I can carry around a thing that is the same weight as a real iPad so I can get used to it in my bag. Actually, this is just a shiny version of a real product that will be used for prototyping cases, stands and such.<br />
The back was printed at <a href="http://nextfabstudio.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/nextfabstudio.com/?referer=');">NextFab Studio</a> out of ABS. The front was cut at <a href="http://www.surbeckwaterjet.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.surbeckwaterjet.com/?referer=');">Surbeck Waterjet</a> from a scrap of glass left over from a job for P Diddy&#8217;s house. Version 2 will be CNC routed out of MDF. This will make it cheaper, but not the prefect weight.<br />

I just got the back half from <a href="http://nextfabstudio.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/nextfabstudio.com/?referer=');">NextFab Studio</a>. This half was 3D printed with white ABS on their Stratasys machine. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just this morning I went to an open house at the 3D printer and wholesaler <a href="http://sldtech.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/sldtech.com/?referer=');">SolidTechnologies</a> and got to see all their cool stuff. SolidTechnologies uses and sells <a href="http://www.zcorp.com/" onclick="pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/www.zcorp.com/?referer=');">Z Corp</a> printers. These printers lay down a thin layer of gypsum, and then selectively solidify it with a binder that they can also add color to with plain old HP inkjet cartridges.</p>
