So, I just sketched out the yearly calendar that I see in my minds eye when I make long term plans. What does your calendar look like?

Notice how the boring months clump together on the bottom, and the fun summer months shoot quickly
up the side.
Update: I tweaked it a little with some exact angles: 30º, 24º, and 40º to match the 3, 4, & 5 month sides of the triangle.

The trick is to crop any image to 1024×1024 square so that you don’t get any black bars fixing the aspect ratio. Grab some art and have fun!

This means I can carry around a thing that is the same weight as a real iPad so I can get used to it in my bag. Actually, this is just a shiny version of a real product that will be used for prototyping cases, stands and such.
The back was printed at NextFab Studio out of ABS. The front was cut at Surbeck Waterjet from a scrap of glass left over from a job for P Diddy’s house. Version 2 will be CNC routed out of MDF. This will make it cheaper, but not the prefect weight.

I just got the back half from NextFab Studio. This half was 3D printed with white ABS on their Stratasys machine. The other half is a piece of water jet cut black glass from Surbeck Waterjet. The glass has a special story with it, but I’ll save that for the next post on this project.
The completed 3D files will also be up on Thingiverse.
